Broncos Exploring A Long-Term Extension For OT Ryan Clady

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Broncos have begun to discuss a long-term contract extension with OT Ryan Clady.

Klis adds that Denver has contracted Clady’s agent, but admits that “it may be a while before the two sides are close to an agreement.

Despite being only 25 year’s old, Clady has had an open down career thus far. Last year, he allowed nine sacks and was rated by Pro Football Focus as one of the worst tackles last season. There’s no question he’ll be looking for a huge contract, but he’ll have to show some serious improvement in pass protection for the Broncos to feel confident about paying him that kind of money.
