Broncos WR Courtland Sutton Out For 2020 With Major Knee Injury

Update: Mike Klis reports Broncos WR Courtland Sutton is indeed out for the rest of the 2020 season with a major knee injury.

Per Ian Rapoport, Sutton suffered a torn ACL. Klis says, however, he understands Sutton tore more than his ACL. He’ll rehab and look to come back strong in 2021.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Broncos are afraid WR Courtland Sutton suffered a significant knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Steelers.

The third-year receiver is having an MRI to ascertain the severity of the injury but if it’s season-ending it would be a huge blow to both Sutton and the Broncos.

Sutton missed the first game of the season with a shoulder sprain as well.

Sutton, 24, was taken with the No. 40 overall pick out of SMU by the Broncos in 2018. He was in the third year of his four-year, $7,071,926 contract that included a $3,223,320 signing bonus.

In 2020, Sutton appeared in one game for the Broncos and caught three passes for 66 yards.

We’ll have more on Sutton as the news is available.
