According to Jeff Legwold of the Denver Post, the Broncos see running back Ronnie Hillman as a future starter.
Hillman is currently behind Willis McGahee, Knowshon Moreno and Lance Ball on the depth chart, but with McGahee is not getting any younger and Moreno has failed to live up to his first-round billing. The future could be bright for Hillman as the team elected to take him in the third-round in this year’s draft.
Hillman played 21 out of 80 snaps in Denver’s 37-6 victory over Oakland on Sunday, and had 10 carries for 31 yards. He could be in for larger workload as the season plays out, especially if McGahee gets hurt again.
