Broncos Hosting Drew Lock, Working Out Clayton Thorson Next Week

Mike Klis of 9 News reports that the Broncos are scheduled to host Missouri QB Drew Lock for a pre-draft visit next Sunday and Monday.

Beyond that, the Broncos will work out Northwestern QB Clayton Thorson on Wednesday.

The Broncos have come up as a team to watch for Lock at No. 10 overall and while they traded for Joe Flacco this offseason, it’s still possible they could pair him with a young quarterback.

Lock is also expected to meet with the Giants, Redskins, Chargers and Lions.

Lock, 22, is expected to be a first-round pick in this year’s draft and possibly a top-10 selection when all is said and done.

During his four-year college career at Missouri, Lock threw for 12,193 yards, 99 touchdowns and 39 interceptions.  He also added 437 yards rushing and nine touchdowns.

Thorson will likely end up being a mid-round pick this year. During his four-year college career at Northwestern, Thorson completed 58.4 percent of his passes for 10,731 yards, 61 touchdowns and 45 interceptions over the course of 53 games.
