League sources tell Adam Schefter that the Broncos have been listening to offers for WR Demaryius Thomas.
As of now, Schefter says that a handful of teams have reached out to the Broncos to see if they would be willing to move Thomas and Denver so far has not rebuffed those advances.
Schefter also confirms reports from earlier in the day that Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders is also drawing trade interest from teams. However, Schefter adds that Denver has not been interested in listening to teams who have called about Sanders.
According to Schefter, there’s no guarantee the Broncos trade Thomas, but he is 30 years old and they have a young receiver in Courtland Sutton who is ready for an expanded role.
Rumors first surfaced about Thomas’ availability back in August, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Thomas, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010. Hein in the fourth year of his five-year, $70 million contract that included $43.5 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $8.5 million and $14 million over the final two years of the agreement.
The Broncos picked up Thomas’ $4 million option this past March.
In 2018, Thomas has appeared in seven games for the Broncos and caught 33 passes for 372 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
