The Denver Broncos officially placed DT Dre’Mont Jones and WR Courtland Sutton on injured reserve Monday.
Sutton suffered a torn ACL and is expected to miss the entire 2020 season.
Jones is expected to miss 4-6 weeks because of a PCL strain and bone bruise in his knee.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Sutton, 24, was taken with the No. 40 overall pick out of SMU by the Broncos in 2018. He was in the third year of his four-year, $7,071,926 contract that included a $3,223,320 signing bonus.
In 2020, Sutton appeared in one game for the Broncos and caught three passes for 66 yards.
Jones, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2019. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3,586,404 rookie contract including a $1,066,404 signing bonus.
In 2020, Jones has appeared in two games for the Broncos and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
