Broncos HC Vic Fangio announced Thursday that they’re placing QB Jeff Driskel on the COVID-19 list, per Ryan O’Halloran.
Fangio did, however, say that there are no other contact tracing concerns with the other quarterbacks.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Driskel, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2016. He was waived by the 49ers at the start of the 2016 season and was later claimed off of waivers by the Bengals.
Cincinnati placed Driskel on injured reserve coming out of the preseason last year and he signed on with the Lions. From there, the Broncos signed Driskel to a two-yea contract this past March.
In 2020, Driskel has appeared in three games for the Broncos and completed 54.7 percent for 432 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also rushed for 28 yards.
