Broncos S Shamarko Thomas Being Treated For Possible Detached Retina

The Denver Broncos announced Friday that S Shamarko Thomas was taken to the hospital with an eye injury for further evaluation.

According to Mike Klis, Thomas is being treated for a possible detached retina.

Thomas, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,613,152 rookie contract with the Steelers and before signing on with the Jets last summer.

Unfortunately, New York elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason and he eventually caught on with the Bills.

Thomas signed on with the Colts a month ago but was released following their first preseason game.

In 2017, Thomas appeared in 12 games and recorded nine tackles and no interceptions.

We’ll have more regarding Thomas as the news is available.
