Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that the Broncos have signed former Browns DT Phil Taylor on Monday.
Denver actually brought Taylor in a for a workout back in December, but didn’t sign him to a contract after the session.
Taylor, 27,ย was taken with the No. 21 overall pick by the Browns back in 2011, but was one of the more notable roster cuts at start of lastย season.
Cleveland wound upย picked up Taylor’sย fifth-year option and he was on roster first day of league year,ย which fully guaranteed his base salary ofย $5.477ย million. However,ย Taylor was reportedlyย dealing with knee issues that led to the Browns moving on, and explains why it took until now for him to get another opportunity.
In 2014, Taylor appeared in just five games and recorded 10 tackles and a pass defense for the Browns.
