Ian Rapoport reports that the Broncos are signing TE Nick Vannett to a two-year deal.
- According to Mike Klis, Vannett’s two-year, $5.7 million deal includes a $1.75 million signing bonus, a $1 million base salary of which $750,000 guaranteed, and $250,000 through per-game roster bonuses in 2020, while his $2.75 million salary in 2021 is non-guaranteed.
Vannett, 27, is a former third-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seahawks out of Ohio State. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3,056,880 rookie contract when Seattle traded him to the Steelers back in September.
He finished his contract and entered the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2019, Vannett appeared in three games for the Seahawks and 13 for the Steelers, recording 17 receptions for 166 yards receiving (9.8 YPC) and no touchdowns.
