Dan Graziano reports that the Browns have claimed DE Anthony Zettel off of waivers from the Lions on Thursday.
The Cleveland Browns have already announced the move along with the release of OL Aaron Neary.
Zettel, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.463 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000 over the final two years of the agreement.
The Lions elected to waive Zettle on Wednesday.
In 2017, Zettel appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and recorded 43 tackles, 6.5 sacks, a forced fumble and recovery. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 42 edge defender out of 108 qualifying players.
