Lewis, 27, hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he was playing for the Buffalo Bills.
McDaniel, 25, signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Florida State back in May of last year. He has been on and off the team’s practice squad.
Cleveland later signed him to a future/reserve contract towards the end of last year.
