Browns Interested In Re-Signing WR Rashard Higgins “At The Right Price”

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns are interested in re-signing WR Rashard Higginsat the right price.

According to Cabot, the Browns met with Higgins’ agent, Michael Swensen, at the Combine last week regarding his future and expressed interest in bringing him back. However, Cabot says no numbers were discussed and the expectation remains that he will test the free agent market.

Higgins could have interest from multiple teams this offseason, per Cabot.

Higgins, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.584 million contract when the Browns elected to cut him loose at the start of the 2017 season.

Higgins was later signed to the Browns’ practice squad before eventually being promoted to their active roster during the 2017 season. Cleveland brought Higgins back on a one-year restricted deal worth $2.025 million last year.

In 2019, Higgins appeared in 10 games for the Browns and caught four passes for 55 yards and one touchdown.
