The Cleveland Browns officially promoted DE Robert McCray to their active roster on Saturday.
McCray, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Indiana back in 2018. He was waived coming out of the preseason before being re-signed to their practice squad.
Kansas City brought McCray on a futures contract this past January. However, he was once again waived at the start of the season and later signed to the Browns’ practice squad.
During his college career at Indiana, McCray recorded 46 tackles, 8.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and three pass defenses.
