Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the Browns will in fact be releasing veteran WR Nate Burleson.
Burleson, 32, was squarely on the roster bubble and even hinted that he could retire at some point in the near future. I’m sure the Browns will be on the lookout for receiver help in the coming days.
Last year, Burleson totaled 39 receptions for 461 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of nine games for the Lions. He wound up missing more than a month after he fractured his arm following a car accident.
