Browns Interviewing Colts Asst. GM Ed Dodds For GM Job

Update:

Albert Breer reports that the Colts have granted the Browns permission to interview assistant GM Ed Dodds for their GM position.

According to Dustin Fox, the Browns have requested permission to interview Colts assistant General Manager Ed Dodds for their general manager vacancy.

Ian Rapoport reports that 49ers DC Robert Saleh is said to be interested in Dodds as a potential GM candidate to be paired with among others.

The Browns’ plan has been to first hire their next head coach before focusing on their next GM.

Dodds is considered one of the NFL’s most respected scouts and previously worked with Saleh in Seattle.

Dodds worked for the Seattle Seahawks for 10 seasons and worked his way up to senior personnel executive. The Colts hired Dodds in 2017 and later promoted him to assistant general manager for 2018 season.
