The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve signed undrafted rookie WRย David Richards to a contract on Tuesday.
Richards joins a very deep class of rookie receivers competing for jobs in Browns’ offseason workouts after they used five draft picks on the position.
Richards originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona just a few days after this year’s NFL Draft. However, he was cut loose two days later.
During his four-year college career at Arizona, Richards recorded 109 receptions for 1,204 yards receiving (11 YPR) and 11 touchdowns.
