The Cleveland Browns officially placed K Patrick Murray on waivers from their injured reserve list on Thursday.
Murray, 25, signed on with the Buccaneers on a future/reserve back in January of 2014. However, he wasn’t able to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later placed on their injured reserve list after clearing waivers.
The Buccaneers, unsurprisingly, placed Murray on waivers after this year’s draft and plan to move forward with second-round K Roberto Aguayo. The Browns later signed him to a contract in June before placing him on injured reserve a few weeks into the regular season.
In 2016, Murray appeared in 16 games and converted one of two field goal attempts to go along with three of four extra point tries.
