The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they’ve waived WR Daniel Williams.
Williams, 23, originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Jackson State back in 2017. He was waived soon after and later re-signed to the Jets’ practice squad.
Williams returned to New York on a futures contract last year, but he was waived a few months later. He had a brief stint with the Redskins before signing on to the Browns’ practice squad last December.
Cleveland elected to re-sign Williams to a futures contract last month.
During his college career at Jackson State, Williams caught 184 passes for 2,497 yards receiving and 19 touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 41 games.
