According to Howard Balzer, the Browns brought in free agent S Maurice Alexander for a tryout last Friday.
Alexander also worked out for the Jets last week, so it appears as though the level of interest in him is starting to pick up.
Alexander, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He was in the four-year, $2,684,260 contract and set to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 seasons when the Rams elected to waive him last week to make room for WR Mike Thomas, who was reinstated from suspension.
In 2017, Alexander has appeared in four games and recorded 20 tackles and no interceptions or pass defenses for the Rams.
