Buccaneers Elevate RB Kenjon Barner To Active Roster

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Saturday that they’ve promoted RB Kenjon Barner to their active roster for Sunday’s game against the Broncos.

Kenjon Barner

Barner, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2013. He spent just over a year in Carolina before he was traded to the Eagles in return for a conditional seventh-round pick that did not meet the qualifications.

From there, Barner played for a few teams including the Chargers, Panthers and Patriots. The Falcons signed him to a one-year contract last year.

Barner signed with the Ravens in August after visiting with them but was among their final roster cuts coming out of training camp. He later signed on to the Buccaneers’ practice squad.

In 2019, Barner appeared in 14 games for the Falcons and rushed for 28 yards on four carries (7 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 22 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also totaled 406 kick return yards to go along with 267 punt return yards and a touchdown.
