ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Buccaneers are not tendering restricted free agent S Christian Izien, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Fowler adds Tampa Bay is interested in re-signing Izien still on the open market. It’s worth noting the cheapest restricted free agent tag costs $3.52 million, so a new deal with the Buccaneers would likely come in lower than that number.
Izien, 25, signed with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers following the 2023 draft. He signed a three-year, $2.075 million contract through 2025 with a base salary of $915k in 2024.
In 2025, Izien has appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 25 total tackles, one tackle for loss and one forced fumble
