The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed OT Reid Fragel on season-ending injured reserve Monday after he passed through waivers unclaimed, according to the NFL transactions release.
Fragel, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Cincinnati before catching on with the Browns, Colts, and Falcons.
The Bucs waived Fragel with the injury designation on Saturday to make room for DE Josh Shirley, who was promoted to their active roster.
After the Falcons elected to waive Fragel shortly after this year’s draft, he was claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers. Since then, Fragel has been on and off of the team’s practice squad.
