Buccaneers Place WR Louis Murphy On Season-Ending I.R.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed WRย Louis Murphy on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

  • The Buccaneersย also released CBย Keon Lyn, CB Dax Swanson and OTย Martin Wallace from their practice squad.

Murphy was the Buccaneers No. 3 receiver, so this will open the door for some of the team’s other receiving options. Although, it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see them bring in some players for tryouts this week.

Murphy, 28, is in the second year of his four-year, $4.75 million contractย that includedย $350,000 guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary ofย $1.5 million for the 2016 season.

His 2015 season ends with himย appearing in six games and recording 10 receptions for 198 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Buccaneers.
