Buccaneers Sign CFL LB Jeff Knox To Futures Deal

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Wednesday that they’ve signed LB Jeff Knox to a futures contract for the 2018 season.

As of now, the Buccaneers have signed 10 players to futures deals including:

  1. LB Eric Nzeocha
  2. OT Givens Price
  3. DB Reese Fleming
  4. OT Brad Seaton
  5. FB Austin Johnson
  6. WR Devin Lucien
  7. G Avery Young
  8. WR Jake Lampman
  9. LS Drew Ferris
  10. LB Jeff Knox

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Knox, 25, wound up going undrafted out of California University of Pennsylvania back in 2015. He later signed on with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and has two seasons playing in Canada before the Buccaneers signed him to a futures contract last January.

Unfortunately, the Bucs elected to cut Knox loose coming out of the preseason and he returned to the CFL.

In total, Knox has recorded 200 tackles, two sacks and an interception for the Roughriders over the course of 43 games in the CFL.
