The Buccaneers announced they have signed WR Ishmael Hyman and TE Jordan Leggett to the practice squad.
Here’s an updated look at Tampa Bay’s practice squad:
- S John Battle
- OT Brad Seaton
- QB Chad Kanoff
- C Anthony Faniano
- RB Aca’Cedric Ware
- DT Jeremiah Ledbetter
- DE Quinton Bell
- DB Herb Miller
- WR Ishmael Hyman
- TE Jordan Leggett
Hyman, 24, was an undrafted free agent out of James Madison in 2018. He previously tried out for the Titans during rookie minicamp in 2018, but did not make the roster.
Hyman spent time with the Orlando Apollos of the now-defunct AAF this spring. He tried out for the Browns during voluntary minicamp and was later signed to the roster.
After being waived by Cleveland coming out of the preseason, Hyman caught on with the Buccaneers’ practice squad. He’s bounced on and off Tampa Bay’s active roster this season.
In 2019, Hyman has appeared in two games for the Buccaneers and caught two passes for 34 yards.
Leggett, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2017. New York waived him shortly after the 2019 NFL Draft and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers.
Leggett was in the third year of his four-year, $2,682,052 contract and set to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season when the Bucs waived him coming out of the preseason. He has bounced on and off the practice squad since.
In 2018, Leggett appeared in 15 games for the Jets and caught 14 passes for 114 yards receiving and one touchdown.
