The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived DB Reese Fleming with an injury designation on Friday.
Should Fleming clear waivers on Monday, he would revert to the Buccaneers’ injured serve list.
Fleming, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in May of last year. The Buccaneers waived him with an injury designation during the preseason and cut him before a few days later.
Fleming signed on to the Bucs’ practice squad in November and returned to Tampa Bay on a futures contract this past January.
During his college career,ย Fleming recorded 78 tackles, two tackles for a loss, an interception, two forced fumbles, a recovery and 15 pass defenses over the course of 27 games.
