Buccaneers HC Dirk Koetter announced Monday that they won’t activate LBย Kendell Beckwith from the non-football injury list this season, per Rick Stroud.
Beckwith will now revert to the team’s injured reserve.
Back in April, Beckwithย was involved in a car accident back and suffered a fractured ankle that led to him undergoing surgery.
Beckwith, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $3.175 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $578,000 and $668,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2017, Beckwith appeared in all 16 games for the Buccaneers and recorded 73 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.
