Buccaneers Worked Out 5 Players Including QB Sean Renfree

According to Adam Caplan, the Buccaneers worked out four players on Tuesday including QB Sean Renfree, DE Alex Bazzie, LB Deon Lacey and rugby star Inaki Villanueva as a tight end.

  • Aaron Wilson adds that the Buccaneers also worked out WR Derel Walker.

Renfree, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.206 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Falcons cut him loose.

He has worked out for a number of teams since becoming a free agent, including the Patriots, Cowboys, Panthers, Bills, Giants, Broncos, and Saints.

In 2015, Renfree appeared in two games for the Falcons and completed three of seven pass attempts for 11 yards and an interception.

Lacey, 26, signed on with the Cowboys as an unrestricted free agent back in 2013. However, he did not last long in Dallas and was among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

Lacey worked out for the Vikings, Broncos, Patriots, and Lions in recent weeks, but was not signed to a contract.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
