The Arizona Cardinals announced Thursday that they’ve claimed TE Dan Arnold off of waivers from the Saints and placed DL Jonathan Bullard (hamstring) on injured reserve.
Arnold, 24, signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin-Platteville back in 2017. Unfortunately, New Orleans waived him with an injury designation soon after before cutting him loose with an injury settlement.
Arnold returned to New Orleans for the 2018 season, but was waived coming out of the preseason and re-signed to their practice squad. The Saints promoted him to their active roster a few months ago before waiving him on Wednesday.
In 2019, Arnold has appeared in two games for the Saints and caught two passes for 25 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
Bullard, 26, is a former third-round pick by the Bears out of Florida in 2016. Chicago waived him coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed by the Cardinals.
Bullard currently in the final year of his four-year rookie deal worth $3,166,520 and stands to make a base salary of $820,000 for the 2019 season. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2019, Bullard appeared in nine games for the Cardinals and recorded 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
