Cardinals LB Jeremy Cash Out For Season With Torn ACL & MCL

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that Cardinals LB Jeremy Cash recently suffered ACL and MCL tears in his knee after his cleat got caught in the grass while making a tackle.

The Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve waived Cash with an injury designation, which means he’ll revert to their injured reserve list after clearing waivers.

A report from Sunday said that Cash suffered what appeared to be a season-ending knee injury, so the expectation was that this would likely cost him the 2018 season.

Cash, 25, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May of last year. He was waived him with an injury settlement a year later and he signed on to the Jets’ practice squad.

Cash had a brief stint with the Giants before he was claimed off of waivers by the Browns late last season. Cleveland waived him this past March and he was once again claimed off of waivers, this time by the Cardinals.

In 2017, Cash appeared in just one game and did not record a statistic.
