The Cardinals announced on Wednesday they are placing third-round rookie DL Zach Allen on injured reserve, ending his season.
Allen had not played since Week 4 with a neck injury. In a corresponding move, Arizona promoted DT Miles Brown to the active roster from the practice squad.
Allen, 22, was drafted in the third round by the Cardinals out of Boston College in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $4.3 million.
In 2019, Allen appeared in four games for the Cardinals and recorded eight total tackles.
Brown, 22, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Wofford following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was able to make the final roster coming out of the preseason but was waived and later signed to the practice squad.
In 2019, Brown has appeared in three games for the Cardinals and recorded two total tackles.
