The Arizona Cardinals officially released CB Lou Young from injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday.
Young, 26, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech back in May of 2014. He lasted just a few months in Denver before he was waived during the final week of the preseason.
After brief stints with the Ravens and Jaguars, Young signed a future/reserve contract with the Panthers in 2016 but was among their final roster cuts in each of the past two seasons.ย He was on and off of the Panthers’ active roster last year before Carolina ultimately elected to waive Young shortly after this last year’s draft.
The Redskins signed him to a contract soon after but waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason. Young signed on with the Cardinals this past February but was waived with an injury designation a few weeks ago.
In 2016, Young appeared in six games for the Panthers and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
