The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve signed eight players to futures contracts for the 2019 season.
The full list includes:
- OL Justin Evans
- OL Will House
- QB Charles Kanoff
- CB Jonathan Moxey
- CB Deatrick Nichols
- LB Pete Robertson
- OL Coleman Shelton
- RB Brandon Wilds
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Kanoff, 24, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Princeton back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cardinals, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
The Cardinals later signed Kanoff to their practice squad before being promoted midseason. Kanoff returned to the team’s taxi squad soon after.
During his college career at Princeton, Kanoff threw for 7,510 yards while completing 64.5 percent of his passes to go along with 43 touchdowns and 22 interceptions over the course of 34 games. He also rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.
