Cardinals Still Considering Re-Signing Deuce Lutui

Darren Urban of AzCardinals.com writes that the Cardinals “haven’t closed the door” regarding re-signing OG Deuce Lutui.

Since the start of free agency the Cardinals have been trying to stabilize theie offensive line. They added OT/G Adam Snyder from the 49ers and still managed to release and re-sign OT Levi Brown.

Russ Grimm, the Cardinals offensive coordinator, said of Snyder; “Right now we have him penciled in at right guard but if we have to move it around before camp we’ll move it around.

This is significant because last season Lutui was their right guard but it’s worth noting that Snyder’s versatility will allow him to play any position on the offensive line so they could essentially keep Lutui at right guard.

The real problem for Arizona is that all of these players are coming off of very poor season. The only player that put together a reasonable year on the Cardinals offensive line was C Lyle Sendlein, according to Pro Football Focus. The Cardinals seem to have problems evaluated offensive lineman, to put it bluntly.
