The Arizona Cardinals officially waived LB Tristan Okpalaugo from injured reserve with an injury settlement.
Okpalaug0, 26, wound up signing on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Miami before he was waived and later signed to the Vikings’ practice squad.
The Cowboys elected to him to a future/reserve contract back in January of 2014 before waiving him shortly after the draft. The Cardinals signed him to a contract back in February.
Unfortunately, Okpalaugo was waived with an injury designation a few weeks ago, as the Cardinals cut their roster down to 53 players. He later reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers.
During his two years with the Toronto Argonauts, Okpalaugo recorded 65 tackles, 23 sacks, five forced fumbles and two interceptions over the course of 31 games.
