The Arizona Cardinals announcedย Monday that they’ve placed RBย Andre Ellington on waivers.
- The Cardinals also signed RB Bronson Hill to their practice squad.
The Cardinals’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Carlton Agudosi
- DT Pasoni Tasini
- TE Anthony Denham
- LB Earl Okine
- LB Connor Harris
- DE Peli Anau
- QB Mike Bercovici
- OT Storm Norton
- DB Jarell Carter
- RBย Bronson Hill
This move could open the door for D.J. Foster to see more work moving forward.
The Cardinals tried to move Ellington to receiver this summer before later moving him back to running back.
Ellington, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract with the Cardinals before returning to Arizona on a one-year, $905,000 contract this past March.
In 2017, Ellington has appeared in eight games for the Cardinals and rushed for 53 yards on 15 carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with 33 receptions for 297 yards receiving and one touchdown.
