Chiefs Activate DL Khalen Saunders From IR, Promote Two

The Kansas City Chiefs officially activated DL Khalen Saunders from injured reserve and promoted G Danny Isidora and WR Marcus Kemp to their active roster on Saturday.

The Chiefs also placed DE Alex Okafor on injured reserve.

Both players will revert back to the team’s practice squad tomorrow without having to pass through waivers unclaimed. 

Saunders, 24, was the No. 84 overall pick by the Chiefs out of Western Illinois. He is in the first year of his four-year, $3,673,180 rookie contract that included a $915,180 signing bonus.  

During his college career at Western Illinois, Saunders recorded 172 total tackles, 16 sacks, and five pass defenses.
