Chiefs Claim C Austin Reiter, Release C Bryan Witzmann

Mary Kay Cabot reports that the Chiefs claimed C Austin Reiter off of waivers from the Browns on Monday.

• Field Yates adds that the Chiefs released C Bryan Witzmann to make room for Reiter.

Reiter, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Redskins back in 2015. He spent just over a year in Washington before he was waived at the start of the 2016 season and later signed to the Browns’ active roster.

Reiter returned to the Browns on an exclusive rights contract this past April, but was waived on Sunday.

In 2017, Reiter appeared in all 16 games for the Browns.
