Per Brooke Pryor, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas was arrested for marijuana possession.
Thomas was later released after posting bond.
A Chiefs spokesperson tells Pryor that they’re aware of the incident, but didn’t have any further comment on the matter at this time.
Thomas’ 2018 season ended in October after he was placed on injured reserve with a fractured leg.
Thomas, 26, was taken in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Chiefs. The Chiefs re-signed Thomas to a one-year contract last year.
Thomas is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months.
In 2018, Thomas appeared in five games for the Chiefs, catching three passes for 29 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed once for six yards and totaled 106 combined kick and punt return yards.
