Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters Wednesday that WR Byron Pringle has returned to practice and will be designated to return from injured reserve, per Herbie Teope.
This opens up a three-week window for Pringle to practice with the team before Kansas City has to add him to the active roster.
Pringle, 27, signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State in 2018. He ended up spending his first year on the Chiefs’ injured reserve list.
Pringle made the Chiefs 53-man roster his second year in his second season, but ended up bouncing on and off the practice squad.
In 2020, Pringle has appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs and caught nine passes for 108 yards and no touchdowns.
