According to Herbie Teope, the Chiefs plan to exercise the 2020 option for LB Damien Wilson.
Wilson will make a base salary of $3.2 million for the 2020 season under the option, per Teope.
Wilson, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2015. He finished his four-year rookie contract with Dallas before signing a two-year deal with the Chiefs in 2019.
In 2019, Wilson appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 81 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one pass defense. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 71 linebacker out of 89 qualifying players.
