Chiefs Brought In DE Da’Quan Bowers & CB Phillip Adams For Visits

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Chiefs brought in DE Da’Quan Bowers and CB Phillip Adams for visits on Monday.

This is the first reported interest in Bowers since the free agent market officially opened over four weeks ago.

Bowers, 26, has been a major disappointment ever since the Buccaneers used a second-round pick on him back in 2010. He has missed time due to injury and was suspended two games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Tampa Bay elected to bring him back one-year deal this past July of last year, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts at the start of the season. Bowers did, however, return to the Buccaneers towards the end of the season.

In 2015, Bowers appeared in three games and recorded three tackles and no sacks for the Buccaneers.

Adams, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2010. He lasted just over a years with the 49ers before he was cut at the start of the 2011 season.

Since then, Adams has played for a number of teams including the Patriots, Seahawks, Raiders, Jets and most recently for the Falcons.

In 2015, Adams appeared in 13 games for the Falcons and recorded 38 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and four pass defenses.
