Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Chiefsย have placed DTย Jaye Howard on injured reserve Thursday.

Howard, 27, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He’s currently in the first year of his two-year, $10 million contract that includes $8.26 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $760,000 and $3.7 million over the next two years.
In 2016, Howard has recorded 24 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble for the Chiefs over the course of eight games.ย Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 53 interior defender out of 122 qualifying players.
