Terez A. Paylor reports that the Chiefs have re-signed FB Anthony Sherman to a one-year extension through the 2020 season.
Sherman, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2011. He spent two years in Arizona before catching on with the Chiefs for the 2015 season.
Sherman played out the final year of his three-year, $7,000,000 contract with the Chiefs and has now re-signed to three consecutive one-year contracts with Kansas City.
In 2019, he appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded four rushing attempts for nine yards (2.3 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 22 yards receiving (11 YPC) and no touchdowns.
