The Kansas City Chiefs officially signed third-round DB KeiVarae Russell to a four-year contract.
The Chiefs now have their entire 2016 draft class under contract.
Russell, 22, was taken with the No. 74 overall pick over a month ago by the Chiefs. Russell is coming off of a broken right tibia he sustained back in November of last year, but he gives the Chiefs some depth in the secondary after they lost a few players during the offseason.
Russell will receiveย a four-year contract worth just over $3 millionย to go along with a signing bonus of around $800,000.
During hisย his college career at Notre Dame, Russell recorded 169 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, five interceptions and 12 passes defensed.
