According to Howard Balzer, the Kansas City Chiefs brought in four free agent TEs for tryouts on Thursday including Braedon Bowman, Kyle Carter, Pharoah Mckever, and Deon Yelder.
Of this group, the Chiefs signed Yelder to their practice squad.
Bowman, 24, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of South Alabama back in 2016. After brief stints with the Jets and Saints, the Chargers signed Bowman to their practice squad at the start of the 2017 regular season and he was on and off of the unit last year.
The Chargers elected to bring Bowman back on a futures contract this past January only cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
During his college career at South Alabama, Bowman caught 29 passes for 381 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
