Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur mentioned that running back Trent Richardson “looked healthy running around” in practice on Monday, per Mary Kay Cabot.
Monday was the first practice since early August for Richardson. The third overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft has had knee problems dating back to just before the BCS Championship game. Since then, he’s undergone a minor surgical procedure.
The Browns open the regular season on Sunday when they host the Philadelphia Eagles. Their first official practice is on Wednesday, so if Richardson will likely start if he’s active for the game.
