The Indianapolis Colts hosted four players on Thursday, including bringing in DB Nick Nelson for a tryout, according to Albert Breer.
The full list of players who visited includes:
- DB Nick Nelson
- WR Quartney Davis
- DB Roderic Teamer
- TE Andrew Vollert
Nelson, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2018. He was in the third year of his four-year, $3,158,676 that included a $698,676 signing bonus when the Raiders waived him with a failed physical designation in May of 2020.
After he reverted back to the PUP list, Nelson was once again waived by the team with a failed physical designation in September of last year.
In 2019, Nelson was limited to appearing in just two games for the Raiders.
Teamer, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Tulane back in 2019. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Chargers and was able to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
He was eventually suspended for the first four games of the 2020 season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy but was reinstated in October of 2020.
In 2019, Teamer appeared in seven games for the Chargers and recorded 40 tackles, one sack, an interception, and two passes defended.
