Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Colts are placing OT Joe Haeg on injured reserve Friday to make room for RB Jeremy McNichols.
According to Rapoport, the hope is that Haeg will be able to return from his high-ankle sprain in November.
Haeg, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Colts back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.582 million contract and set to make a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.
Haeg will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.
In 2018, Haeg has appeared in three games for the Colts.
